Roadmap cards open the full spec in a dialog

10/27/2026

Long roadmap specs now show a short faded preview on each card. Click the card to read the full spec in a dialog, with links inside it working as usual. Close it with Esc, a click outside, or the close button.

Pro is $10 a month or $110 a year, prices in USD

10/27/2026
  • Pro: $10/month or $110/year (previously $11/month, or $10/month billed as $120 a year).
  • Studio: unchanged at $39/month or $420/year.
  • Checkout now shows USD prices only. Stripe Adaptive Pricing converts them to your card's currency.
  • Pix keeps its own price.

Figma export history and the Claude export page are retired

10/27/2026

The Figma export list and the /export/claude page have been removed. Use the Figma plugin or the web-to-Figma extension to bring references into Figma.

Billing fixes: plan changes, failed renewals and account deletion

10/27/2026
  • Accounts on the reverse trial can upgrade to Pro. The upgrade screen no longer treats the trial as your current plan.
  • A failed renewal keeps Pro active while Stripe retries the payment, and Manage plan stays available for past-due or unpaid subscriptions.
  • Switching plan or billing interval after leaving Stripe Checkout no longer fails with "checkout already open".
  • Deleting an account is blocked while a subscription still renews. The settings panel tells you to cancel it under Billing → Manage plan first.

Faster search and discovery, with calmer motion

10/27/2026
  • Searching apps by name or site uses indexes instead of scanning the whole catalog.
  • Catalog queries and app counts are cached and optimized, and inactive categories are no longer preloaded.
  • Menus and the command palette close without a spring bounce, loaders stop strobing, and Refcat respects your reduced-motion setting.
  • Primary buttons give press feedback.

Web-to-Figma extension 0.1.9: exports copy themselves to the clipboard

10/27/2026
  • A finished capture is copied to the clipboard automatically, so you can paste it straight into Figma.
  • Captures keep shadow DOM content, CSS effects and unicode-range web fonts, and multi-line text breaks the way the page does.
  • Assets that the page would normally block from cross-origin requests now load through the extension.
  • An export that gets stuck now times out instead of hanging.

Editor agents get screen images and structure through MCP

10/27/2026
  • The MCP server now returns screen images, layout structure and developer tools to Claude Code, Cursor and Claude Desktop, so an agent can work from a real reference instead of a description.
  • Images are only returned for screens the signed-in viewer is allowed to open.
  • Setup is easier: the docs now list the new tools, and a Claude Code skill and Cursor rules ship with them.

Developer REST API is live: search apps, flows, screens and emails

10/27/2026
  • A read-only REST API now runs on your existing refcat_sk_ API keys. It covers categories, facets, apps, flows, screens, emails, search and similar-item lookups.
  • Every response uses a consistent { data, requestId } shape, and an OpenAPI 3.1 contract is published for integration tools.
  • Requests share the daily item quota with the MCP server. The effective limit appears under Account → API keys, next to the link to the docs with curl and JavaScript examples.

Refcat v2: more context from discovery to Figma

10/27/2026

Refcat v2 brings search, reference browsing, and web capture closer together. This update focuses on understanding what you find, keeping useful context while you explore, and carrying a reference into your design work.

Search by the task you are designing

The ordinary search bar now combines semantic retrieval with keyword matches. Common interface tasks can be searched in English, Portuguese, or Spanish: try “reset password,” “recuperar senha,” or “restablecer contraseña.” Search results show the app, flow, and platform so it is easier to judge whether a reference fits your work.

Platform and flow filters are checked against the reference's catalog metadata. Repeated images are removed, and results include a broader selection of apps. When semantic retrieval is unavailable, the interface identifies keyword-only results rather than silently presenting them as semantic matches.

Explore visually

Image search is enabled by default. Upload a screenshot to look for visually related references, or explore similar screens from a reference you are already viewing. A failed image search now shows a message instead of quietly doing nothing.

Keep useful references open

Catalog navigation and app cards use real links. Open a destination in a new tab, use Ctrl/Cmd+click, or copy its address. Mobile, desktop, and animation catalog scopes can be reopened from their URLs. Project and folder menus also include Open in new tab.

A smoother web-to-Figma capture

The extension guide includes a downloadable ZIP and installation instructions. Capture a page, then choose whether to copy the result into Figma or download a .fig file.

Extension 0.1.2 includes its WOFF2 font decoder inside the package. It no longer tries to import that decoder from a CDN, resolving the Chrome content-security-policy errors that prevented those fonts from being decoded. Existing manual installations need the new package and a reload in chrome://extensions.

More reading, in more languages

A new editorial collection covers navigation, empty states, form recovery, subscription changes, keyboard interaction, experiments, interface motion, and dense dashboards. Each article has English, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish editions prepared for individual review and publication.

What comes next

The roadmap separates work in progress from ideas being considered. Current priorities include evaluating search relevance with a wider set of tasks, improving capture fidelity on complex pages, and completing the v2 rollout. Planned items are directions for feedback, without promised delivery dates.
